Applied Technology in the Fight Against Sex Trafficking

The Huffington Post recently reported on a partnership between Google and The Polaris Project. These two groups are using data mining technology to ferret out suspected trafficking involving anyone from sex workers to truckers to carnival workers.  Google and Polaris are mapping and tagging the information and looking for patterns that might be useful to law enforcement in rescuing victims and apprehending principals in the sex trade.
